PIRARUCU ARMCHAIR

The magnificence of the largest fish that inhabits the fresh waters of Brazil inspires the vigorous design. Pirarucu, symbol of the Amazon Basin and protagonist of legends that surround the indigenous and riverside communities of the region, baptizes the homonymous chair surrounded by references and narratives immersed in the local culture. In the back of transverse lines, the stainless steel exalts the backbone of the species that reaches more than two meters. Lightness and strength are balanced in the contemporary piece flooded with symbolisms raised by designer Sérgio Matos. The "red fish" - translation of the indigenous name in the Tupi language - is food for culture and design with a Brazilian identity.
